EoC Intern

Liz Wallin, a former EoC entrepreneur, founded project LIA, which helped provide work training for formerly incarcerated women in Indianapolis.

Liz Wallin reflects on how being an intern at an EoC company changed her view of what a business can be. Instead of serving only customers, she saw a company deeply invested in the neighborhood. Through activities like planting trees and acting as a food pantry drop-off, she saw how businesses can become active community partners and supporters.

  1. How can businesses balance community involvement with their core business goals?
  2. What impact do initiatives like food pantry partnerships and neighborhood projects have on a company's reputation and relationships?
  3. Have you ever seen a business make a positive impact in your community? If so, what did they do, and how did it affect your perception of that business?
