Going beyond transactional business

Joan Duggan was co-founder of a very successful company, which she later sold. She then worked in the corporate world for a while, but eventually gave almost all of her money away and founded an EoC-minded tutoring startup in upstate New York, which she helped manage for over 2 decades. Joan explains how the EOC goes beyond transactional business. With many businesses, the main focus is on the transaction and exchanges. Within the EOC, these exchanges come secondary to the people involved.

  1. Why is it important that transaction is secondary?
  2. Have you been involved in transactional business before?
  3. What about the EOC approach stands out?
