I would say it definitely changes our family life to be involved in communion to have communion properties and to run it as an economy of communion business. Um are the people who work for us and who help us are intimately involved in our daily lives. Like we spend more time with them than we do with our friends, you know. Um, you know, if you think there's workers and they're friends, then we don't spend as much time with our friends as we do with them.
Um, they're many of them are friends, right? They're part of our daily life. But, um, they're in our home weekly, stopping by to get their marching orders, stopping by to check in on things, borrow tools, get paid, you know. Um, and so the kids know all of our workers, they love them, and it's very clear that our workers love our kids. Um, and I think that's beautiful. Um, they're getting to know a wider slice of humanity than they otherwise would, than most other children their age probably know.
Um, and I think that's a good thing. Um, we also we have a woman who does quite a bit of cleaning for us. Like after tenants move out, she'll come in and clean the apartment for us. And she is like a substitute grandma to my kids. She also babysits for us occasionally. Um, had an emergency, had to take the older one to the urgent care the other day. The baby was in a nap. I called her up.
I said, "Please, can you come by watch the baby in her nap?" You know, just sit with the baby while she's napping. Um, what a blessing. What a blessing to have them in our lives.
