Business should be a collective vision

John Mundell shares why he thinks that business should be seen as a collective activity, not as a rugged individualist enterprise. Business on his view happens in a network of relationships, and seeing those necessary relationships and mutual dependence helps guard against the notion that you can 'go it alone' in business activities.

  1. Have you seen a rugged individualist approach in business? Is that a mindset you hold as well?
  2. What are ways that business involves reliance on others? Concrete examples?
  3. What difference does it make to see business as a collective activity, with mutual dependence on others, rather than having a go-it-alone perspective?
