Our Screens

Joan Duggan was co-founder of a very successful company, which she later sold. She then worked in the corporate world for a while, but eventually gave almost all of her money away and founded an EoC-minded tutoring startup in upstate New York, which she helped manage for over 2 decades.

In this video, Joan talks about the differences between a traditional business compared to an EoC Business. She talks about how a business run with God's vision in mind emphasizes love for everyone. She discusses how we all have our own "personal screens", such as biases, and how being aware of those personal screens allows us to shift them to a perspective of love.

  1. What are some "personal screens", as Joan describes them, that people might have which inhibit them from showing love in the workplace?
  2. How might running a business with love for all people look different than a traditional business model?
  3. What are some actions that business owners could take to show love for all people, including employees and customers alike?
