Living EoC Principles

Sasha Ongtengco is a workforce systems strategist and consultant based in Chicago.

Sasha explains that participation in the Economy of Communion is not limited to people who own EOC businesses. She considers herself a non-business-owner EoC practitioner because she consciously applies principles such as reciprocity, putting people first, and contributing to a more generative and shared economy through her work and volunteer activities.

  1. How does Sasha's understanding of EoC participation expand the movement beyond business owners and formal EoC organizations?
  2. What does it mean to contribute to a generative or circular economy through everyday workplace decisions and relationships?
  3. How can employees and volunteers apply EoC principles within organizations whose leaders may not formally identify with the Economy of Communion?
  4. Are you part of EOC? Do you act in the economy with a desire to be generative and sharing, or not?
