Like anything in dealing with conflict uh you need to make sure you don't pass judgment to begin with and try to understand the situation you know and understand um if uh is a conflict between two people where they're coming from and um and what their motives are and first to seek to understand you know um and ask them to do the same thing and often times what happening is that often times people make assumptions and uh they make um can I say wrong conclusions or in some cases there might be actual conflict where there's a bad situation happening and um it's objectively bad and needs to be treated you know and so um I give two extreme examples if we find a situation where we had an employee who was systematically lying to customers uh to embellish his own position and to other employees to retain information to again improve its own position that was objectively bad and um when confronted this person would not accept the feedback and would deny it.
We had to part ways. No, there was no even openness to consider doing it things different. And so um exercising leadership is addressing the situation because if you don't address it, everybody else will think that that behavior is acceptable and you're basically not living your culture code and you're telling them, you know, that can I say dishonest behavior. It's okay. It's okay. We can do business that way with a customer. It's acceptable and it's not acceptable.
And so you got to be leadership is calling that out then confronting the situation and trying to resolve it. In this in some in this case we couldn't you know find an agreement or had to part ways. In other situation often times there small conflicts where people just don't understand one another and they jumping to conclusion. They interpreting things. They're misunderstanding things. They're questioning each other's motives and you just need to create a setting where you allow them to really understand one another versus judging one another. And so um and your leadership is there to create a condition for that to happen. Yeah.
