Andy Gustafson is professor of business ethics and society at Creighton University’s Heider College of Business, where he has taught since 2005, and is founding director of its Business, Faith and the Common Good Institute. He holds a PhD from Marquette University and currently serves as executive director of the Society for Business Ethics. Since the early 2000s he has built and managed a residential rental portfolio in Nebraska, renting well below market rates and hiring from communities other employers overlook. He co-edited Finding Faith in Business: An Economy of Communion Vision with his wife, Celeste Harvey. In 2025 received a $1.2 million John Templeton Foundation grant to direct the Economy of Communion Project, a three-year effort to record video interviews with EoC entrepreneurs across North America and build a free digital library of their practices. His aim, he says, is transforming the system rather than patching it.
